Mike Brandt’s client was charged with Disorderly Conduct for inappropriate behavior directed to a female driver while he was on the road. The female became very upset by the conduct, and reported it to the police who conducted an investigation which eventually resulted in the city prosecutor charging Mike’s client with Disorderly Conduct.
Once Mike got involved in the case, he investigated the facts, showed the prosecutor that his client has no prior record, was remorseful for his actions, and argued that his client’s conduct did not rise to the level of Disorderly Conduct.
Based upon all of this information, the prosecutor agreed to continue the matter for dismissal—meaning that the charges against Mike’s client will be dismissed as long as he is able to stay out of trouble for one year. Once the charges are dismissed, Mike’s client will also be able to have the record expunged (or sealed) so that nobody will be able to see that the client was charged with this offense.
