Mike Brandt’s client was charged with Domestic Assault for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in the mouth during a struggle for a marijuana smoking device. In preparing the case for trial, Mike demonstrated to the prosecutor that the incident may have occurred accidentally, that the alleged victim was not a credible witness, and that Mike’s client had taken some proactive steps prior to the trial. Based upon all of that information, the prosecutor agreed to continue the charge for dismissal for six months. That means that the charge against Mike’s client will be automatically dismissed in six months, as long as he stays out of trouble.
