Nicole Nichols’ client faced misdemeanor charges of domestic assault after an altercation with his girlfriend. After preparing the case for trial, Nicole met with the prosecutor and negotiated a favorable plea agreement that would keep her client out of jail and keep his criminal record clean. Her client was not ordered to serve any jail time and the domestic assault charges were amended to charges of disorderly conduct, which will be certified as a petty misdemeanor (not a crime) after one year of successful probation.
