You can see the light at the end of the tunnel and you are ready to submit to your last calibration for your ignition interlock but you aren’t sure what to do? Don’t worry, we are here to help. After you schedule your last calibration with your ignition interlock company, wait 2-3 days before calling DPS to confirm you have completed your calibration. After they confirm, go into your local DPS station and let them know you have been cleared and apply for your unrestricted duplicate license. There will be a $15.75 charge for this. You are free to get your ignition interlock device removed either before or after applying for your duplicate license. There is a change in the rules coming. As of July 1, 2016, you will no longer be required to submit to a final calibration you will just be able to get the device removed after being cleared to do so by DPS.
