      Dani’s Client Receives Expungement in Hennepin County

      Result: Dani’s client was originally charged with Petty Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her client received a continuance for dismissal for the charges and became eligible for an expungement after successfully completing probation. Once her client was eligible for expungement, Dani successfully petitioned the Court to have her client’s charges expunged. This possession of drug paraphernalia charge is no longer publicly viewable on her client’s criminal record or at any other agency with records of the incident.

      Result: Mike’s client was charged with a misdemeanor for driving 100mph in a 65mph zone in Hennepin County. The prosecuting attorney insisted that Mike’s client be convicted of a misdemeanor and to be placed on probation. Mike scheduled the case for trial, but on the day of trial the prosecutor finally agreed to amend the charge to a petty misdemeanor and reduce the speed to 89mph in a 65mph zone. Because of this negotiation, Mike’s client was only required to pay a fine and was not subject to probation.

Nicole negotiated with the prosecutor and the prosecutor agreed to reduce the charges to a Petty Misdemeanor, this allowed Nicole’s client to avoid a criminal conviction.

This allowed the client to avoid all probation and resolve the case with a minimal fine payment.

Mike was able to negotiate a plea agreement, prior to court, reducing the charged speed to 69 in a 55. This allowed the client to avoid a serious speeding offense on their record.

      Result: Dani’s client was charged with Petty Misdemeanor Duty to Drive with Due Care and Misdemeanor Careless Driving. Prior to her involvement, her client had resolved the matter as two Petty Misdemeanors. Shortly after, her client received notice that their driver’s license would be suspended for 90 days due to a conviction involving a personal injury crash. Dani reached out to the Department of Public Safety and after several discussions, was able to rescind the suspension due to a misinterpretation of the relevant statutes. This allowed Dani’s client restoration of their full driving privileges.

      City/County: City of Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County
      Charges: Misdemeanor Careless Driving and Duty to Drive with Due Care
      Result: After a Court Trial, Mike Brandt’s client got both charges dropped down to one count of Petty Misdemeanor Careless Driving. This means that his client kept his clean criminal record and will not lose his driver’s license.
