Mike Brandt’s client was charged with DWI for an incident occurring in March, 2016 in Coon Rapids, Anoka County. In preparing the case, Mike filed a motion to suppress evidence based upon an illegal seizure by the police. Mike argued that the 911 caller did not provide sufficient information that his client was impaired. Mike also argued that the police illegally entered into his client’s home to arrest her.
Prior to the commencement of the hearing, the Prosecuting Attorney agreed to reduce the charges from DWI to Careless Driving. Mike’s client was placed on one year if unsupervised probation with a minimal fine.
