Eric W.M. Bain
Background
Eric comes to Brandt Criminal Defense with a wealth of criminal defense experience. While in law school, he was a law clerk with the First Judicial District Public Defender’s Office, as well as with the Public Defenders of the Bois Forte and Menominee Tribal Courts. He also worked in the Office of the Prosecutor (Appeals and Legal Advisory Division) at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. In addition to his defense work, he assisted the St. Louis Park City Attorney in prosecuting cases through the Misdemeanor Clinic at William Mitchell College of Law. Throughout these experiences, Eric has handled hundreds of cases, conducted bench trials, bail hearings, argued before the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and negotiated favorable resolutions for his clients.
Prior to law school, Eric was an advertising account executive in New York City, so he brings a strong focus on client service to Brandt Criminal Defense. He believes in close, honest collaboration. On every case, he vigorously prepares equally for negotiation and litigation in order to obtain the best outcomes for his clients.
While at Brandt Criminal Defense, Eric has handled a wide variety of criminal charges across Minnesota ranging from traffic offenses to felony charges, including Domestic Assault by Strangulation, Malicious Punishment of a Child, and Motor Vehicle Theft. He is also experienced in all DWI-related matters, and is a contributing author to the Minnesota DWI Deskbook series.
