Mike Brandt recently represented a client who was charged with Obstructing Legal Process. The State alleged that Mike’s client had engaged in obstructing another person’s arrest by the Minneapolis Police. The client adamantly denied any obstructing. Prior to Mike’s involvement in the case, the prosecutor was demanding that Mike’s client plead guilty to the charge.
Once Mike got involved in the case, he interviewed witnesses to the incident and provided information about the client’s background to the prosecutor. Based upon that information, the prosecutor finally agreed that the charge against Mike’s client should be dismissed. Based on Mike’s negotiations, the case was continued for one year—after which time the charge will be dismissed.
This resolution is another example of the results that Brandt Kettwick Defense gets for our clients through preparation, investigation, and thorough knowledge of the law.
