Nicole’s client was drinking with his girlfriend and an argument broke out between the two of them. Her client was alleged to have pushed her multiple times, causing her to blackout, and causing damages to her home. Her client was later arrested for 5th degree domestic assault. Nicole hired a private investigator and took statements from witnesses. After negotiation with the prosecutor, the prosecution agreed to continue the charge for dismissal. This means the case will be continued out for a period of time at which the charge will be dismissed, contingent on Nicole’s client completing the conditions agreed to.
Once the charge is dismissed, Nicole’s client will have the ability to have the record expunged (sealed), which will prevent anyone from knowing that he was charged with the offense.
