Preliminary Investigation Results in No Charges Being Filed
Mike Brandt was retained by a client who was under investigation for some allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior against his girlfriend. As part of Mike’s representation, Mike’s investigator interviewed numerous witnesses who were aware of the situation between his client and the complainant. The investigator also interviewed two of the client’s children who were home when these allegations arose. After the police conducted their investigation, the matter was submitted to the county attorney, at which time Mike provided his investigative file to the prosecuting attorney. Once the prosecuting attorney reviewed all of this information, the prosecuting attorney concluded that no charges would be filed against Mike’s client.
This is the type of proactive work that Brandt Criminal Defense performs when people are under investigation for various offenses.
