Mike Brandt represented a client on a preliminary matter where he was being investigated for some allegations of inappropriate contact with his juvenile daughter in Hennepin County. As part of his representation, Mike had his investigator take various statements from people who knew his client, were aware of the allegations and also knew who it was that was making the allegations. Mike also produced additional documents and other evidence that showed that the child who was making the allegations was not credible and would never be believed.
Based upon all of this information, Mike presented it to the County Attorney’s office who reviewed the file and declined to issue charges. Because of the “upfront” actions taken by Brandt Kettwick Defense, Mike’s client did not have to face criminal charges and was able to get this matter taken care of before it got too far down the road.
This case is an example of where Brandt Kettwick Defense gets involved with people who are under investigation for various allegations and then takes proactive steps to try and make sure criminal charges never arise.
