Mike Brandt’s client was charged with Second Degree DWI and Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle for an incident that occurred in April 2017. Mike’s client was facing forfeiture of his vehicle due to a prior DWI in 2015 and because he blew twice the legal limit. Mike was able to convince the prosecutor to amend the charge to Third Degree DWI, based upon the facts of the case and Mike’s client’s personal situation. Mike was able to settle the case, and his client avoided having his car forfeited. The client was given a fine, ordered to do 48 hours of community work service, and ordered to serve 45 days on electronic home monitoring. The other charges issued against him were dismissed.
